The 12-valve 6G72 is a 3.0 litre (2972cc) V6 engine with a 60º bank angle. This version of the engine was available in Magna TR and TS models as an option after 1993 (option codes: E02, E49). This was the only engine available on the KR and KS Verada, which debuted in 1991.
The 6G72 features one-piece main bearings, roller rockers and Mitsubishi Variable Intake Control for maximum torque under all conditions.
The 12 valve 6G72 engine used in the Magna is a right mount engine.
The 6G72 used in the Magna/Verada was built at Lonsdale.
