Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) is the Australian arm of the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
MMAL was created in 1980 when Mitsubishi Motors Corporation purchased Chrysler's Australian operations. Despite exporting cars to Australia as early as 1965 (the Colt, which was sold as a Chrysler) it wasn't until 1980 that vehicles began to wear the Mitsubishi badge in Australia.
